Study of the transport training needs in the Maghreb
The work programme of GTMO 5+5 for the period 2009-2011, within the scope of the work Upgrade firms involved in transport, from the perspective of setting up a Euro-Mediterranean free trade area includes the composition of a report on training needs: Transport training needs in Western Mediterranean countries, that is going to be used as the basis for the drafting of the document: Action plan design for training in transport and logistics.

6th Meeting of the National Counterpart Teams
The 6th Meeting of the National Counterpart Teams (ENL 6) of the Euro-Med Transport Project was held in Brussels on 24 June 2009. Among other objectives, it aimed to present the advances made in the work being done in the area of cooperation.

CETMO participated in the meeting of the working group on Maritime Safety and Security of the Euro-Mediterranean Transport Forum held on 23 June 2009 in Brussels.

6th Conference of Transport Ministers of the Western Mediterranean
The 6th Conference of Transport Ministers of the Western Mediterranean was held in Rome, the last 19th and 20th of May. Since the creation of GTMO 5+5 in 1995, the main aim of the group has been to promote cooperation in transport field in the Western Mediterranean but also to contribute to strengthen the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.

Publication of the Inventaire des accords internationaux de transport et de coopération euromaghrébine
The Inventaire des accords internationaux de transport et de coopération euromaghrébine (List of international Euro-Maghreb transport and cooperation agreements), a study carried out within the framework of the 2007-2009 GTMO 5+5 Work Programme, was formally presented at the 6th Conference of the Group of Transport Ministers of the Western Mediterranean held in Rome on 20-21 May 2009.

5th Conference of Transport Ministers of the Western Mediterranean GTMO 5+5
On 16-17 November 2008, the 5th Conference of Transport Ministers of the Western Mediterranean (GTMO 5+5) was held in Tunis. Organized by the Tunisian Presidency of the Group, the conference was attended by the Transport Ministers of Algeria, Spain, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Portugal and Tunisia, the Secretary of State from Italy, the Permanent Secretary from Malta, and a high-level representative from France.

9th Meeting of GTMO 5+5 Group of Experts in Barcelona
The GTMO 5+5 Secretariat organized the 9th meeting of the GTMO 5+5 Group of Experts, which was held on 18 February 2008 in Barcelona. The main purpose of the meeting was to analyse the status of the GTMO 5+5 work plan for 2007-2009, which had been set during the previous meeting (April 2007).
