That in turn facilitates the alignment of multiple administration’s efforts, the generation of synergies and the integration and dissemination of knowledge. Resulting in the development of an integrated regional transport perspective, established credibility and advocacy capacity.
CETMO is the sole organization specialized in Transport Cooperation for the Mediterranean Region.
With over 35 years of experience working with all the International Bodies related to Transport and Logistics in the Mediterranean.
CETMO has developed unique Transport Cooperation and technical capabilities, with a proven track record and unparalleled advocacy capacity in the Region.
With over 35 years of experience, CETMO has worked continuously with the EuroMed Transport Forum (FET), the European Union body dedicated to Southern Cooperation in Transport, and with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM). CETMO’s collaboration includes providing policy agenda definition, technical analysis and guidelines and managing projects.
Moreover, since 1997 CETMO the acting Technical Secretariat of GTMO 5+5. A role which has allowed CETMO to build specialized capabilities, regional perspective, and a strong advocacy capacity in the Region.
Additionally, since its inception CETMO is a U.N. Associated Organization with Permanent Observer Status, with particularly close links to the UN Economic Commission for Europe, (UNECE). This provides CETMO with an extensive knowledge of trends, proposed policies, and global challenges, with access to the U.N. international Cooperation Framework, as well as resources and information from the Regional Commissions of Africa (UNECA) and Middle East and Asia (ESCWA).
CETMO works with a collaborative network of 215 organizations composed by International Financial Institutions, public administrations, sectorial organisations, infrastructure managers, logistic operators, Think tanks, and research centers.
