CETMO’s mission is to facilitate the socio-economic development of the Western Mediterranean region through the improvement of transport conditions. CETMO contributes to this development by facilitating international cooperation and also by supporting innovation through the creation and dissemination of information on trends, technological changes, opportunities and challenges, as well as standards, best practices and strategies for administrations, operators of transportation and logistics and finance and development organizations.
This section presents the most recent analysis of the CETMO, in two areas of great relevance: the description, maturity, adoption and effects of the new wave of technological change (key technologies for transport and logistics) and the consequences and strategies in the post-COVID-19 era. All this, accompanied by a repository of indicators on transport in the Western Mediterranean.
He analyzes, ideas and conclusions presented here have been developed with the decisive support of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the collaboration of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), the Department of the Vice-presidency, Digital Policies and Territory of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Catalan Association of Municipalities for Mobility and Urban Transport (AMTU).
