Observatory of Socio-economic and Transport Flows Gibraltar Strait

The Socio-Economic and Transport Observatory of the Strait of Gibraltar is the result of the collaboration between CETMO, the Spanish Society of Studies for Fixed Communication through the Strait of Gibraltar (SECEGSA) and the Société Nationale d’Études du Détroit de Gibraltar (SNED) of Morocco.​

 The objective of this collaboration is the collection, exploitation, and analysis of socio-economic, commercial, maritime, road and rail infrastructure data on access to the Strait, as well as passenger and freight flows between European and African countries, which may be of interest to the fixed link project through the Strait of Gibraltar.​

The results are presented in documents that show and explain the evolution over time and the geographical distribution of different indicators, which are regularly updated.​
