Workshop on PPP’s
CETMO organizes a workshop on public-private partnerships for the mobility of people
- The activity is part of the work program of the Group of Ministers of Transport of the Western Mediterranean, the GTMO 5+5
CETMO has organized a workshop on PPP’s for the mobility of people, together with the Catalan Business Federation for Passenger Transport (Fecav) and the Spanish Confederation of Bus Transport (Confebus).
During the first part of the workshop, success stories were presented in public-private partnerships in Europe. The transmission of knowledge and practical experiences in the management of transport services was the most important part of the presentations by the operators, who illustrated with practical cases the specific needs linked to the land transport services of travelers, both in the case of services of urban transport as interurban. The search for quality and technological innovation were recurrent elements in the different practical cases exposed. The second part focused on the role of public administrations in land passenger transport.
This workshop is part of one of the lines of work that emerged from the Conference of Ministers of Transport of the Western Mediterranean, held last December in Nouakchott (Mauritania) and that are being worked on within the framework of the GTMO 5+5, of which CETMO is the technical secretariat.
